Effective March 18th, 2020, all ICAP offices will be closed to the public due to the Covid 19 health crisis. This will remain in effect until further notice.  ICAP encourages all clients and persons needing services to contact your local county office to determine if assistance can be provided without having to make an appointment. In an abundance of caution, we are limiting interaction between all our staff, customers and contractors and where possible, we plan to use electronic communications including phones, emails and social media. The ICAP offices numbers are:
  • Henry (765) 529-4403 Ext. 120
  • Hancock (317) 462-2557 Ext. 281
  • Rush (765) 932-2863 Ext. 126
  • Madison (765) 298-8086 Ext. 206
  • Grant (765) 573-5193 Ext. 233

If you have a need, or question on where you can find help, please contact the appropriate office noted above. We are committed to assisting clients while protecting our staff and in order to do so, we believe communicating with clients in a remote manner is a common sense approach to this public health crisis. Thank you.

ICAP changes people’s lives, embodies the spirit of hope, improves communities and makes America a better place to live.

ICAP, a not-for-profit agency, was established in 1965 under the Economic Opportunity Act. President Johnson’s “Great Society” program included a War on Poverty, and community action agencies were created to empower the poor by helping this group regain a voice in our democratic system.

We care about the entire community, and we are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other.  As a Community Action Agency, ICAP will design, sponsor and adminster programs that provide help for today and hope for tomorrow.
